André L. Brock

André L. Brock is an interdisciplinary scholar with an M.A. in English and Rhetoric from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His NYU Press book Distributed Blackness: African American Cybercultures offers a brand new understanding of technology’s impact on everyday Black life. His scholarship also includes groundbreaking research on Black Twitter cyberculture. André currently teaches at the School of Literature, Media, and Communication at Georgia Tech.
